Terms of Service
These terms govern access to Website Rank, including the public site, monitored-domain features, billing area, forum, API, and related services. They explain what users can expect from the platform and what the platform expects from users in return.
Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to visitors, registered users, trial users, paid subscribers, API customers, and forum participants using Website Rank.
What these terms cover
They cover platform access, subscriptions, API usage, acceptable use, billing, credits, content, and account enforcement.
Accounts and security
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
- You must keep your password, login state, and API credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless the activity was caused by a platform-side fault or compromise outside your control.
- You must not share access in a way that bypasses plan limits, billing controls, or API restrictions.
Acceptable use
- You must not attempt unauthorised access, exploit the platform, or interfere with normal service operation.
- You must not abuse the API, misuse credits, bypass rate limits, or try to work around billing enforcement.
- You must not submit unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or clearly abusive content through the service or forum.
- Accounts may be limited, suspended, or removed where needed for safety, fraud prevention, abuse handling, legal compliance, or platform integrity.
Subscriptions, plans, and credits
- Recurring plans: paid plans are billed monthly unless stated otherwise at checkout.
- Included monthly API requests: plan-included API requests are granted to your balance each billing period and unused balances roll over until used, unless a later policy or plan change says otherwise going forward.
- One-off API credit packs: these are separate purchases unless clearly bundled or stated otherwise.
- Plan changes: Website Rank may update plan pricing, limits, or bundled features in the future. Changes apply prospectively rather than rewriting charges already taken.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel recurring subscriptions through the billing area or Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewal charges but does not automatically guarantee a refund for charges already taken.
Refunds may be granted if you are unhappy with the service and cancel within 14 days. Requests made after 14 days can still be reviewed, but they may not always be granted.
API usage and fair operation
You must use the API in a reasonable, lawful, and non-abusive way. We may apply authentication checks, credit checks, rate limits, access controls, usage logs, or temporary restrictions where needed to protect the platform and other users.
Platform outputs and decision-making
Website intelligence, trust scoring, traffic estimates, crawler outputs, category labels, and related signals are provided on an informational basis. They may be model-driven, incomplete, delayed, or affected by third-party sources. You remain responsible for how you interpret and use those outputs.
Availability and service changes
Website Rank may add, remove, pause, or modify features, sources, integrations, interfaces, plan limits, or intelligence systems in order to improve reliability, cost control, security, compliance, or product direction. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
Content and intellectual property
Website Rank, its software, interface, branding, and service design remain protected by applicable intellectual property rights. You keep rights to content you submit where you own them, but you give Website Rank the permission reasonably needed to host, process, display, and manage that content within the service.
Liability and responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Website Rank is not liable for indirect, speculative, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, reliance on outputs, or third-party outages. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
